Owl Light (online only; we no longer print) welcomes submissions year round including: ARTS coverage & reviews – visual / literary / performing / culinary / beverage / anything innovative & creative – environmental/sustainability, commentary, prose and poetry along with community updates, and local and world reflections (images / words / hybrid formats welcome).

Some general Guidelines that make it more likely we will look at and publish your work:
→Original content that is relevant to residents of the rural northeastern US;
→ Well written and thoughtful work that offers innovative visions of the rural experience;
→Name, title of the submission and e-mail (or other contact information) on page one (numbered pages);
→ Use a standard font, 12-point type. Times New Roman, Arial, or Courier are fine (simple and legible – what counts is the writing, not how fancy the page looks)!
→Send literary submissions in doc/ docx.
→If you are sending poetry or other written work with non-traditional layout, also include a pdf to ensure that formatting is retained.
→Up to three poems equals (1) submission.
→Send images in jpg, or PNG (300+dpi), or pdf .
