Artist and Guitarist Sean Madden Performs at GoArt in Batavia with his quartet, “FlashBamPow!”
BATAVIA, NY:
Guitarist Sean Madden will perform at the Genesee-Orleans Regional Arts Center (GoArt) with his unique acid jazz quartet, FlashBamPow. FlashBamPow’s intense live performances often flow between straight ahead jazz and funk, to improvisatory jamming and eastern ragas. The band has been very busy. They’re emerging from the pandemic with new arrangements and sounds to share.
FlashBamPow is known as a highly expressive band that often employs surreal video and art in their live shows. The art is mostly created by Sean Madden, who is also an award-winning artist. A quote from their website best sums up who they are: “We come on time, set up, blow everyone’s minds and leave.”
Keyboardist Rob Mossotti and drummer AJ Secash have joined the group and are quickly contributing to the group’s intense live energy. Dan Zea plays bass and vocals, Sean Madden plays guitars and Kaossilator.
This show will be both LIVE and Livestreamed. The Livestream will be on Facebook Live through FlashBamPow’s Facebook Page (or simply hit the Facebook link on FlashBamPow’s website: www.flashbampow.com).
In addition to new arrangements and players, the band is celebrating the release of their new documentary, “Who is FlashBamPow?” This documentary chronicles the history of the band through radio interviews and club performances. It also features their unique creative philosophy.
