Little Lakes Community Association Recognizes Members
Recognition for two founding board members at LLCA
The Little Lakes Community Association would like to recognize the contributions of two of their founding board members. Melissa Carey, and Mike Barnard.
Melissa Carey stepped off the board earlier this year when she added new twin grand-babies to her already full life as a Realtor for Howard Hannah along with other family and community work. Melissa continues to serve on Friends of Livonia Board and Autumn of the Village boards as she has done for many, many years! Although Melissa stepped off LLCA board she continues to support Little Lakes assisting us in our Facebook postings and attending a number of events as time permits. We would like to thank Melissa for all of her connections, posts and hands on assistance since our inception. She is a multi talented woman, who possesses a “can-do” positive attitude, and for that Little Lakes is very grateful!
Mike Barnard was also a founding member of Little Lakes Community Association and has stepped down from the board recently. LLCA would like to recognize Mike and his many contributions over the past few years. Mike was passionate about creating community and instrumental in connecting a number of professionals to the LLCA organization. In addition to his professional contact, Mike worked hands on in many areas using his skills, tools and knowledge from his general contracting business”Joined Builders”. Also noted Mike enlisted a number of volunteers to move this huge undertaking forward. This endeavor was instrumental in bringing this building back from the shutdown phase when the Town of Livonia permanently closed it in 2016.
A heartfelt thank-you to both Melissa Carey and Mike Barnard from both myself and the entire board for their community service in bringing this historical center alive again; as we build community and businesses throughout the Little Lakes Region!
