12/16: A Very Merry Night of Delight!
On Saturday 12/16 at 7pm, The JOSHES (and special guests) are back with an improvised twist on their traditional holiday extravaganza, A CHRISTMAS CAROL!
Join us for an improvised take on the Charles Dickens holiday classic, A CHRISTMAS CAROL! Featuring the improv duo The JOSHES (Josh Marcks & Josh Rice) with special guests, Liz Giovino and Felix Janeway!
Miserly misanthrope Ebenezer Scrooge humbugs the holidays, but when he is visited by a cavalcade of ghostly characters from his past, present, & future, his world changes forever. Akin to “A Muppet Christmas Carol,” we take the Dickens classic, mash it with your audience suggestions, spice it up with Monty Python-esque absurdity, and deliver to you a one-of-a-kind evening of holiday hilarity that is both naughty and nice. Appropriate for ages 10 and up.
Tickets for our Saturday 12/16 at 7pm show are $20 or Pay What You Can, and are available via Eventbrite or at the door.
At Theatre@37 – 37 South Main Street Perry, NY 14530
And after the show, head over to the Silver Lake Brewing Project for Comedy Night, hosted by local stand-up comedian Miguel Antonio Colón, with some of Rochester’s best comedians! No cover! 21+ only
Come have a hilarious ho ho ho and humbug with An Improvised Christmas Carol!
UPCOMING: Poetry Workshop at Warsaw Public Library with Luke Daly
Luke Daly, Perry native and RIT writing professor, will offer a unique literary event on 12/21 at 6:00 at Warsaw Public Library. Daly will read from his current work and offer a brief multimodal presentation on the topic of revision in writing, with the guiding question, “How can writers know when their work is finished?” This presentation will include a visual and photographic history of one poem, laying bare just how much reworking and change the art of writing involves.
