Stories in Wool

You are invited to our First Friday Reception for the collaborative works of wool artists Lisa Bleir and Michelle Cavalcanti.

Using traditional rug hooking techniques, the artists incorporate textured and hand-dyed wool to tell stories of whimsy, nostalgia, and love. Lisa has been rug hooking for many years, and Michelle is a lifelong painter and also does needle felting. Their collaborative work began in spring 2020 when the sisters found themselves sitting side by side, working on the same piece.  They have since planned, designed, and created the pieces featured in the October show.

If you are unable to attend the reception, the exhibit will continue on Friday, Saturday and Sundays during our regular hours 10-4pm until the exhibit closes on Saturday, October 30.
