The Letchworth Gateway Village of Perry, NY Will Host The Arts Council for Wyoming County’s 45th Annual Letchworth Arts & Crafts Show & Sale®
The Arts Council for Wyoming County (ACWC) has temporarily relocated the Letchworth Arts & Crafts Show & Sale® (LACS) to Letchworth Gateway Village, Perry, NY. The dates of the event remain the same, which will be Columbus Day weekend (October 9, 10, 11).
ACWC was disappointed with the cancellation of LACS in 2020, but knew that despite Covid-19 restrictions and the challenges of holding the event at Letchworth State Park, that this year, the show must go on! And where else but Perry? Not only is Perry a centrally located village, 3 miles from the Perry Entrance to Letchworth State Park and 1 mile from Silver Lake, it’s a beautiful tree filled community that captures the charm and beauty of autumn in the Letchworth region.
Perry Mayor Rick Hauser says “This is an established, signature autumn event for our entire region, so of course I’m thrilled to see it land in Perry!” We’re pleased too! The Village of Perry will be able to accommodate us and is supporting us through the hard work of their leadership teams to make this a very special LACS. Mayor Hauser expressed The Village of Perry’s commitment to the event “The ACWC knows how to put on a well-organized, curated show and sale that creates loyal visitors, promotes artisans, celebrates craft and beauty, and generates revenue that supports the arts all year long. It also generates significant sales tax revenue for Wyoming County, so Perry is pleased to host and lend our support, planning and facilities to ensure the event is as successful as ever. In turn, I’m optimistic that our area businesses will take full advantage of the proximity and exposure.”
We invite everyone to come join us in Perry, NY as we celebrate the 45th anniversary of this festival! This is a juried show, and our carefully selected artisans are bringing an amazing selection of handcrafted goods to show and sell. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to help them bring their goods to the Perry community.
ACWC Board President Gary Buchholz says of the move “We’re excited to be bringing the show back to Wyoming County! What began as a small show to display the wares of 39 Wyoming County artists at the Middle Falls of Letchworth Park has snowballed into the hugely successful Letchworth Arts and Crafts Show and Sale that we all know today.I believe that the Perry location is perfect with its proximity to Letchworth Park, the setting that people are familiar with. With the help of the village of Perry and Wyoming County as a whole we look forward to the continued success the the festival.”
ACWC will be prioritizing providing the highest level of safety for both artisans and attendees with a safety plan that will reflect current CDC guidelines. All social distancing protocols will be strictly observed.
