Twisted Willow Fabrication
Twisted Willow Fabrication in Geneseo, NY
An ornament that arrived in the mail for Owl Light News.
These folks can do anything, and enjoy the small custom work as much as larger jobs. On the back is the Owl Light News heading with 2020 (and a paw print).
They are all about human connections and that personal touch – for you or your company (and they are big dog people to!).
“Twisted Willow Fabrication owner, Doug Mothersell, has 35 years of experience as a mechanic and fabricator in Heavy Equipment, Fleet, and Industrial settings. In addition to the Commercial and Industrial experience, Doug has also frequently helped homeowners and artists see their designs come to life. This range of experience gives Twisted Willow Fabrication a broad understanding of your needs in metal fabrication.”

Books, Books and More (locally-purchased) Books
As I though more about how we can shop creatives, and creatively, online while supporting local, I thought about literary-arts creatives. There are many local book stores across our region. Not all have online, but all are available by phone and will hand over books curbside or send. They can also order new and used books (often for less than you can order them for—they have “ins”).
Here are some local shops (happy to expand on this):
Sulpher Books in Clifton Springs
The Book Den in Dansville, (585) 335-6805
Sundance Books in Geneseo
Lift bridge Book Shop in Brockport
Autumn Leave in Ithaca

The Soap Hag
“Lynn Schapp is The Soap Hag’s owner and artisan soap maker. Her expertise lies in the ingredients used to make natural soap, which is the foundation of this natural soap company. Every single product from The Soap Hag is made by hand by Lynn, herself. Lynn takes great care in formulating natural soaps and lotions to bring the most nutritional benefit to your skin. “
*Some of these are past or present Owl Light sponsors or people we have featured, others are just folks we have heard of or know who create and sell locally…spread the art and the love. There are many other local art creators and sellers who might not have online; if you can get out to shop and buy locally, look for locally made items.
