Argentieri wins DAISY Nurse Leader Award
DANSVILLE, NY — Unsung hero – possibly the best words to describe Stacey Argentieri, this year’s winner of the DAISY Nurse Leader Award.
“I am truly humbled by this award,” said Argentieri. “It means a great deal to me to be recognized by my peers. Both the patients and my colleagues make it easy to do my job. We are an amazing team and I am so thankful to be part of this organization.”
Argentieri, Nurse Manager of Perioperative Services at UR Medicine Noyes Health has been a nurse at Noyes for 10 years. She currently lives in Bath.
“Stacey has exhibited excellent leadership,” said Heather Burritt, Nurse Educator/Stroke Coordinator and Nurse Residency Program Coordinator at Noyes. “She is approachable, friendly to all staff, respectful and caring to patients, as well as hard working both administratively and clinically. She is humble and extremely knowledgeable of all aspects of peri and intraoperative care. She delivers an incredible attitude and flexible style of leadership that gets the mission of the hospital done. These are hard and trying times for staffing and growth, but Stacey has risen to every challenge presented to her. She is an unsung hero.”
The DAISY Nurse Leader Award is given annually to a nurse in management at Noyes.
According to the Daisy Award website, “the executive leaders, middle managers, educators and preceptors who supervise these outstanding nurses often do not consider their roles as eligible for The DAISY Award. However, they fully support recognition for their direct care staff as they deeply appreciate and respect the care that staff nurses provide.”
“Stacey is the go-to nurse for everyone and everything that happens in the Saunders Surgical Center at Noyes,” said Burritt. “She handles every issue with ease and gets the job done all the while being friendly. We all count on her and she never lets us down. We couldn’t ask for a better leader for the surgical department.”
